Submission of Contributions
The official languages of the congress are Spanish and English. Scientific and academic contributions written in either of these two languages will be accepted.
For the submission of contributions, the author(s) must submit a scientific abstract, which will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the congress. The Committee will determine whether the proposal is accepted for presentation at the 5th International Congress on Research and Teaching Innovation in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CIIID-CAFD 2026).
All abstracts must strictly follow the submission guidelines established by the organisation and included in the official template available to authors.
Each submitted contribution will be evaluated by at least two members of the Scientific Committee through a peer-review and blind-review process.
The possible decisions issued by the Scientific Committee are as follows:
- Rejected.
- Accepted with modifications.
- Accepted without modifications.
In cases where the assigned reviewers do not reach a consensus, the contribution will be evaluated by a third reviewer, whose assessment will determine the final decision regarding acceptance.
If the contribution is accepted, the final version must be prepared according to the presentation format established by the organisation for the congress. Furthermore, the Scientific Committee reserves the right to modify the presentation format initially requested by the authors, according to scientific, organisational and scheduling criteria.
The official presentation formats for contributions are the following:
Oral Communications
- Scientific contributions presented onsite through an oral presentation before congress attendees, within the time slot and venue assigned by the Scientific Committee.
Virtual Communications
- Scientific contributions presented in electronic audiovisual format through the congress virtual platform. In this modality, the physical presence of the author will not be required.
Authors must submit the audiovisual file according to the deadlines and technical specifications established by the organisation and agree to remain available via email to answer questions related to the presented work during the ten days following the end of the congress.
General Considerations
- Each author may submit a maximum of two contributions as first author.
- In order for a contribution to be definitively included in the scientific programme of the congress, at least half of the authors plus one must be formally registered for the congress within the established deadlines.
- Failure to comply with the submission guidelines or registration requirements may result in the exclusion of the contribution from the scientific programme and associated congress publications.
Job Templates
Publish Your Work with a Prestigious Academic Publisher
CIIID-CAFD 2026 will offer participants the opportunity to take an additional step in the dissemination and transfer of their research and innovative experiences. The congress organization will publish a specialized scientific book focused on current research and innovation topics in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. This publication will not be a traditional conference proceedings book, but rather an independent academic and scientific volume designed to include high-quality original chapters related to the thematic areas of the congress.
Authors who wish to do so may voluntarily adapt their communications or presentations delivered during the congress into the formal structure of a scientific book chapter, following the editorial guidelines established by the organization. This option will allow participants to transform their congress contributions into academic publications with greater visibility, impact, and curricular recognition.
The publication will be managed through Dykinson one of the most prestigious and recognized academic publishers in Spain and within the international university environment. According to the SPI-CSIC (Scholarly Publishers Indicators) ranking, widely used by ANECA in academic evaluation and accreditation processes, Dykinson holds the 3rd position among Spanish academic publishers in the SPI 2022 General Ranking and is classified within Q1 in areas such as Education, Sociology, Psychology, Law, and Fine Arts. Publishing with a publisher holding these quality indicators represents significant added value for researchers, lecturers, and professionals, contributing to the scientific and curricular recognition of their work.
To reserve a book chapter, the first author will be required to complete a specific registration that includes editorial management and publication costs. This initiative aims to strengthen the scientific quality of the congress and provide participants with a real opportunity for academic dissemination through a leading publisher in the university and research fields.
